OUR CONTINGENTS.
[bt telegraph.] Wellington, Tuesday.
The troopship Surrey is to leave Wellington at 4 o’clock to morrow afternoon, and is expected to get away from Auckland on Saturday evening. She will call at Sydney and Albany, and finally land the troops at Durban The Cornwall, with the South Island battalion, is expected to leave Lyttelton on Wedneiday of next week and go direct to Albany, prob ibly arriving there about the same time as the Surrey. Colonel Davies, commander of the Contingent, will travel on the Surrey with his staff.
Dunedin, Tuesday. A chaplain has been appointed for the Eighth Contingent. The Presbytery are asking for a similar appointment for the Ninth,
