AN M.H.R.'S TROUBLES

[special to hawke’s bat herald.] [bt telegraph.] Wellington, Monday. At the local S.M. Court to-day George Fisher, M.H.E., was charged on the information of hia wife, Laura Fisher, with having failed to comply with an order of the Court to pay JSI a week towards her maintenance, and with having been £1 in arrears on the 13th January. Mr -kerrett appeared for complainant. After hearing the evidence His Worship said thia waa the second information in a week. Defendant would be ordered to pay a £1 fine and arrears to 13th January with 7s coats. (Defendant: "It will be paid to-day "). In default, defendant to go to gaol. Defendant began to talk in a loud voice, and made most disgraceful statements about hia wife and her solicitor and others, and waa ordered by the Court orderly to be silent and take hia hat off. Hia Worship: " Make that man conduct himself properly. I don’t care who he is. I oan’toomedowu from the judgment seat and keep order. There is a sufficient force of police, and if they see a man behave like a blackguard they should take him into custody.” Defendant, who had removed his hat, left the Court stamping in a most insolent manner.
