The president and secretary of the Napier Howling Club cho>e Bides for a match on Saturday afternoon, and an interesting game resulted in the president (Mr J. H. Darkness interrupted the game when tho interest as to the result was at its highest tension. When hostilities ceased Victoria was leading by 11 with six heads in the two rinks yet to be played. Palmerston was weakened by having to play a substitute in the place of Drew. Tho game will bo completed on Monday afternoon. It is hardly likely that Palmerston will be able to pick up the missing numbers in tho six heads. When the tournament ceased on Saturday night the relative positions of the various clubs were as follows Palmerston North, 13 wins 3 losses. Victoria, 13 wins 3 losses. Wellington, 13 wins 4 losses.
