OUR CONTINGENTS.

[by telegraph.] Wellington, Saturday.

The captains of squadrons in the Eighth Contingent are North Island — Captains Cameron, Sommerville, Seddon, and eaxby. South Island—Captains Fooke, Colbeck, Montgomery, and either Captain Hhodes, M.H.8., or Lieutenant Collett by promotion. Captain Jackson Palmer, has applied for a commission in the Ninth Contingent. Christchurch, Saturday. It is understood that Captain B. Heaton Hhodes, of the C.T.G., M.H.E. for Ellesmere, has obtained a commission, and will probably go with either the Eighth or Ninth Contingent to South Africa. His constituents are quite prepared to allow him to go without forfeiting his seat.
