THE STOCK MARKET.

I Messrs Abraham and Williams, Limited, of Palmerston North, report as follows : At our Otaki sale wo had fair entries and good attendance. In sympathy with the large centres, stock was dull under the hammer, a fair amount of business being transacted afterwards. No sheep were sold. At Palmerston we had full entries of both cattle and sheep. For the latter there was a poor demand, and the 2-tooth wethers advertised for sale without reserve were simply sacrificed. The drop of 2s on fata and another fall in wool, added to the scarcity of feed, which is general this spring, accounts for the poor demand, but wo hope this will be temporary only. For cattle there was a fair demand, and prices improved on recent quotations. A general clearance was made. At Levin we had good entries; there was a good attendance j sheep wore dull of sale under the hammer, but wore mostly disposed of after the sale at prices rather bettor than wore obtained at Palmerston the day before. For cattle there was a fair demand, and with tho exception of one or two pens they were all disposed of.
