THE STOCK MARKET.

Messrs Abraham and Williams, of Pallnerston North, report bb follows: — At Fahiatua we had a full yarding of cattle, mostly of good quality, and a large entry of sheep. Shortly after 1 o'clook a heavy thunderstorm broke over the township, whioh greatly interfered with the sale. Sheep were decidedly easier, but considering the quality, everything made fair value. Cattle sold readily at prices equal to recent quotations ; there was a good inquiry for empty cows and heifers. At Palmerßton more than the advertised entry came forward. We had a full yarding of cattle, over 70O.being brought under the hammer. The cattle right through were of good quality and buyers j being present for all classes, competition was keen, and a successful sale was the result, very few leaving the yards unsold.
