[Before Mr 4. Turnbul}, S.M.] Monday, October 29. YOUTHFUL OFFENDERS. John O'Connor and Eoberb Derig pleaded guilty to breaking and entering the premises of Frederick Anderson, and stealing therefrom jewellery and other articles valued at £21 1Q3. it was stated by Inspeotor O'Brien that the boys had ransacked Mr Anderson's house during his absnoe. Nearly all the artioles had been recovered. Mr Lusk, for the boy O'Connor, asked that the Court deal leniently with the offenders, Accused were convicted and ordered to come np for sentence when called upon. DRUNKENNESS. John franqia M'GJoyera; charged with drunkenness, and breaking a window at Hannah and Co.'s premises, was fined £1, and ordered to pay £Q damages. He was allowed a fortnight in whioh to find the money. A prohibition order was issued against George Dennison. FAILING TO SUPPORT. Albert Nightingale, charged with failing to comply with ah order of the Court for the maintenance of hig father, £22 \^i being in arrears, was sentenced to three months! imprisonment, the order being suspended while he paid 12s per week. ' FACTORIES Edward Beeoham, manager for Blythe and Co.,' was charged with having allowed employes to work after 6 p.m., and with not keeping the door of the workroom unfastened, ' Mr Humphries appeared for the inspector of factories and 1 Mr Cresswell for defendant. The Veact} of the Act w'aa admitted, bat oounsej said it had been done without the manager's know? ledge, two heads of department having returned to work to finish a pressing order.
