PROTECTING THE CABLES. RUSSIAN WAREHOUSES BURNED. AN IMMENSE LOSS. RESIDENTS FLEEING. Booelved Jnly 20, 1 a.m. London, July 19. The Powers are sending additional warships to China for the purpose of watching and protecting the cables. The Russian tea and silk warehouses at Kaigan have been burned. They were valued at .£1,670,000. Russian residents at Kalgan, about 80 miles north-west of Peking, are now journeying towards Kietchu.
