Owing to the anti-foreiga attitude of the Governors of Shaugsi and Honan, the Consuls at Shanghai warned them that they would be held responsible for the proteotion of the foreigners. The Canton-Hong Kong wires are interrupted, but the wires from Shanghai to Chefoo have been restored. An Italian bishop and two missionaries at Hunan have been killed.
