THE NEW ZEAIANDERS.
[bt telegraph.] I Wellington, Monday. The Premier has received a cable from General Carrington stating that the Fourth and Fifth Contingents have arrived at Buluwayo and been amalgamated under the title of the New Zealand fourth Regiment. Mr Piloner wires to the Government : — "M'lntyre, no reply. Inquiries re Smith, nothing official, but comrades say a New Zealsnder named Smith died of wounds received on May sth. Peddie, of Brabant's Horse, was released on June 6th. The following are additions to hospital patients: J. Mackay, Third Contingent; J. W. Malcolm, J. W. Garland, Second Contingent. Waiinate's voyage withdrawn without notice j if return to Melbourne will oable Premier." The M'lntyre referred to was originally given as Angus M'lntyre, but there is no one of that name. A few days ago the Premier of Victoria wired to Mr Seddon asking him to advise him when any of our returning convalescents would be passing through . Melbourne, so that they might be properly looked after. Mr Seddon replied thanking him, and asking Mr Pilcher to wire direct to Melbourne. The Waimate was expected to bring back a number of invalids,
