Hkeald Office, Monday evening. DANBVIEKE STOCK SALE. ' Mr W. Rose reports : — I held my usual fortnightly stock sale at Danevirfee yesterday, wheu about 400 head and 1000 sheep were yarded. The attendance, ■waa large, bnyera being present from all parts of the district, as far south as Masterton. Owing to the large number of cattle entered Messrs Abraham and Williams kindly placed their yards at my disposal for the day. Bidding under the hammer in several cases did not quite touch owners' reserves, but the yards were almost entirely cleared immediately afterwards. I quote :— ■ Lambs 7s to 7s 6d, 2 and 4 tooth ■wethers 11s 9d to 12s lOd. CattleSpringing heifers .64 10s to £6, forward steers up to .£6, 3-year-old steers £i 17s 6d, dry cows from 303 to £3 17s 6d, weaners 37s 6d. A line of forward bullocks averaged 46. Horses from £3 to .£5 15s. My next sale will be held on the 22nd met.
