.» . RIVALS OLTJB. The annual meeting of the Bivals Cricket Club was held in the Cafe 1 last evening. Mr A. E. Eagletonin the chair. The report showed the olub to be in a very prosperous oondition, having won for the first; time the premiership for the Wednesday cup competitions. A large number of Saturday players were represented, and it was unanimously decided to form a team to play for the Saturday Junior Cup. The following officers were elected :— Patron, Mr Kitkcaldie; president, Mr J. V. Brown j vice - presidents, Messrs A. E. Eagleton, W. J. Grundy, C. H. Cranby, E. C. Wright, G. Glassford, S. Charlton, T. Parker, P. Moller, A. H. Wilson, and Chas. Eagar j captain, W. S. Clayton ; vice-captain, J. Piriej hon. seoretary and treasurer, W. S. Clayton ; committee, H. Pirie, S. Irwin, D. Dreaver; E. W. Smyrk, New members : Messrs Ninkey, Lynch, Wallaoe, Watson, Telfor, Elms, Smyrk, Fraser, Strickland, Beard, Evans, and Nicolson. Mr J. Pirie carried off the batting trophy for last year, with the avernge of 338 for 11 innings, and Mr H. Pirie the bowling trophy, with the average of 62 for 48 wickets. The meeting closed with a hearty vote of thanks to the chairman.
