GAZETTE NOTICES.
Wellington, Thursday. An Order-in-Conncil is gazetted declaring the provisions of the Mining Act, 1898, shall apply to mining for diamonds in a portion of the Haurafei mining district. The Defence Office notifies for general information that the stations at which salutes are authorised to be fired are Auckland and Wellington. Mr George Dunnet is appointed actingConsul for Haiwaii at Auckland.
