Auckland, Friday.

At tho Auckland City Council a cablegram was read from Mr Bingham intimating hia readiness to sign the electric tramways contract. Thirty-six sheets of plans accompanied the letter. The Mayor said there was a danger to the water-pipes through electric corrosion. Precautions would have to ba takan to ensure the safety of the water-pipes by the use Sf insulated return, cables.
