DISCOVERY OF HUMAN REMAINS.
[BY TELEaiiAPH.I Auckland, Tuesday, The skeleton of a man has been found in a gully at Karaka, near Drury, by Charles BramwelJ. There were only bones and a pair of boots. A fire had gone over the place and burned the clothing. The skeleton is believed to be the remains of a man named B. K. Bowden, who mysteriously disappeared at Karaka in July, 1889. There was great excitement at the tiuie, and large search parties went out, who failed to find the slightest trace of him. His father at the t time was a public school teacher at Nelson, and published c. pamphlet about the case in the hope of getting a clue to his son's fate. The police are investigating tho affair.
