THE PHILIPPINES. ' ANNEXATION VETOED BY THE FILIPINOS. KUSE SUSPECTED BY AMEEICA. Beeeived Jnmmry 2fl, 12.25 a.m. Hong Kong, January 25. The congress of the Filipino Committee held hero vetoed the American annexation. The suspicion was expressed that President M'Kinley's action in appointing a Commission to inquire into the condition , and means to he adopted in the future administration of the .Philippines waT merely a ruse to gain time.
