Janet Nicoll left Oamaru last evening for Napier direct, passing Timarri, as bad weather is reported there. She arrives to-morrow night or Friday morning. The Union Company's s.s. Kia Ora arrived early yesterday morning from the North, and was berthed at the breastwork, where she discharged a quantity of wool and sundries. She left last evening at 5 o'clock for the North again. The'Tyser steamer Star of Victoria is due here this morning to load about 5000 . carcases of meat and 1500 bales wool. The Te Kapu returned from Wairoa yesterday afternoon, and leaves again for there at 5 this morning. The Union Company's s.s. Omapere leaves Auckland this evening for Napier. The Shaw, Savill and Albion Company's s.s. Fakeha is expected here early next month to load a shipment of wool and meat.
