HOME RULE URGED FOR THE FILTPINOS.
Eeneivoil January 12, 9.10 a,m. Washington, January 11. A section of the United States Senate is opposed to Congress ratifying the proposed treaty of peace between Spain and America, as agreed to by the commissioners appointed by both countries. The supporters of the opposition urge that if the Philippines are held permanently by the United States, the fullest possible measure of Home Eule should be accorded to the Filipinos.
