Auckland. Tuesday. Meta, a young chief of the Ngaiterangi tribe, who iB well educated in the English language, has been sent to Waikato by a section of the Tauranga natives for the purpose of interviewing King Mahuta and Henry Kaihu, M.H.E., with reference to the visits of the tohunga Eliau to Tauranga. Meta's friends desire Ehau to pay regular visits, but Hori Ngati (of Matapiki) and his people have asked the visits to be stopped.
