The following rt ptesentatlve team was picked last night for tbe Northern toursFull back, Howe: tbne quarters, Roib, Hawke, MateOD ; five elgnth, M'Gulre; half, Woods; wl'.'g foiwards, J. Kelly, C. Campbell (captalu) ; forwerdu, W. Sp'.ncer, J. Spencer, Gallagher, S. (la, M'Anally, Msdbod, and Haidbom. Emergenolee : Baok, vVarwlck ; forwards, Morton, OBrlea. The team leaves on Monday week, and plays Tararokl, Auok> JBDd, and Napier. The olßlms of eereral prominent players were not considered, as tbey oon'd not obtain leave, end it Is believed leveral of thoee already selected will not be able to get away. It is a good all-round team, the backs being above the Wellington average, but tbe forwards, usually Wellington's strength, may prove a source ol weakness.
