The arrival of wool to date amounts to 312,500 bales, of which 12,000 bales have been forwarded direct to the manufacturing centres ; 208,500 bales are available for the next series Experts consider that in the event of war wool will decline in price owing to the decrease in American demand. Grain, frozen meats, especially beef, tinned meats, hides, and leather, will on the other hand show a hardening tendency.
