FOOTBALL.
Rugby Uhion.
Tho Rugby Union met at the Criterion Hotel on Saturday evening. Present— Messrs Fleming (chairman), AHeD, North, Uornford, O'Coanell, Swqn, Flrtb, Jago, Mitchell, Brewer, Fulton, Kenonf, and the hon. Sco, (H, 0. Wilson). Communication! were received trooi the Wanganui and Poverty Bay Rugby Unions, and it wan decided to meet the latter union in Napier on 26th Jnne or July 2nd, the day they recommended, and the former if the Hawke's Bay team travel to Tarunakl. The following mntches woro arranged and referees appointed for next Saturday:— Clive Ist v. Te Ante at Hastings at 3 p.m., Mr Poison ; Caledonian Ist v, County Ist at Faradon at 3 p.m, Mr Hlblop; Pirates Ist v. Napter led at Recreation Ground at 3 p.m , Mr Logan ; Cllve 2nJ v. West End at Spit at 3 p m,, Mr Corbeit; Caledonian 3rd v. Napier 3rd at Keoreatlon Ground at 1 30 p.m., Mr Kenonf. The seoretary was instraoted to write to all clubs asking for a fall list of members.
