[per press association— copyright,] Sydney. Wednenday. In the Legislative Asiembly Mr Crick moved the adjournment of the House to diaonss the Full Court's decision re oash betting. A long debate ensued. Tbo concensus of opinion was that it wns necessary to Bappresa street bottling and tote Bhops which were ruining "legitimate batting." The Government said they could not go against the decision of the Fnll Court. Mr Levien gave notice of bis Intention to Introdnoe a bill for the legislation of betting on large raceoonrses, Some members argued that raolng was a goad thing In itself, but should not be used as a cloak to betting : therefore, betting of all kinds should be Bnppreßsed. Others nrged that battiog would always I prevail, and that it was better to have \ raolng on well-oondncted courses under high class auspices. Mr Gould, on behalf of the Government, could not make flesh Gf one class of bettors and fowl of another. The Government were not bigoted, and were prepared to entertain any reasonable oonrso wbich woald show a way oat of the difficulty, Dnrlng the dlaoußslon a Bcene occurred between Messrs Haßsall and Sleatb.
