Christchurch, Tuesday. At the Supreme Conrt Samnel Boycß pleiderf guilty to tho forgery of a obeqne ■ for £10, ond was pat on probation for 12 montne. Fienk Monk was acquitted on a chareo of Iniecent assault. Thomas Parks, cv old offender, who pleaded guilty to forging two cheques, was sen- I fenced to foar year/ Imprisonment, and Frederick John lleecs, accused of com* pllolby In the same cases, was acquitted. Jnmes Stevenson, found gnllty of a breach of the Bankruptcy Aot> by Incurring debts without) reasonable prospect) of paying, was tentßDced to nan month's imprisonment, On the Hpplloatlon of Mr Joynt, oonnßel for Sbeehau, the Amborley murder case was fixed, for June 16th to allow time for the preparation of the defence. The Conrt sat till 8 p.m.
