Mr Conyngham Greene, formerly Secretary to the British Legation in TeheraD, and who succeeded Sir Jacobus* da Wet as British Agent here, ha* declined to receive from the British residents an address, as be objeoti to the expression contained therein hoping that he would aseiet in maintaining the supremacy of the Empire.
