The two young men were cousins — Zjb and Pete Lawaon— and were both very well cflF. They met on Sunday night at a dancing-place about r>ix niilcß from town, quite by nooldenb, quarrelled, and decided to fight it quo on Monday. At 6 o'olook in the morning, acompsnled by their eeconde, they met in an orchard outside the town, and fought. Almost ut the oommencomenc of the encounter they both received such terrible wounds that ) a few minutes they expired. Then a dlscußßlon arose between the seconds — Edward Parker and Walter Brag— and they in turn deolded to settle tbe matter with tbe same bowie-knives. Parker was killed at the first encounter hy a thrnat of the knife in his heart, and Brag was almost dead when found later by a farmer In tbe dlatriot.
