Paris, Jnly 22. The ex- Premier of the Hovaa left a proclamation appealing to the Malagasy to abandon the spirit of revolt and facilitate the glorious mission of Franoe. The French warship Magenta met with a mishap off the Algerian ooast. While riding at anchor her chains parted, and she drifted ashore and attack a large rock. The coat la being taken oat, and It is believed the vessel has nob sustained any serious damage.
