WOOL AND SKIN SALES.
The Hawke's Bay wool brokers report aa "ThTuTOal periodical sales of oddments of •wool. Bheepßkins, hides, and tallow were held to-day, when there was only a moderate attendance of buyers. The offerings were not so large as usual, but prioes for wool and eklna were fully maintained, and In some oases showed an advance on last sale's rates. There was not much demand for hides, and prime lotß wore for the most part withdrawn! The tallow catalogued was mostly of an inferior kind, and the market was weak. The following prices were obtained;WooL— Stragglers' fleece from 51d to 6jd per lb; dead from lid for inferior, to 6|d for good } orutchlnga up to 4jd per lb. Skins.— Foll-wooliod butohora aklna from 61d to 63d per lb; good station from lid to GSd per lb; hoggeta up to 5Jd perlb; green skins up to 3s lfid each. Hides.-Medium ox from BJd per lb to 3?d ; medium cow from 2|d to 2}d per lb ; calfskins up to 3d per lbj Tallow.— Station lots from Id to lfd per lb.
