AUSTRALIA V. DERBYSHIRE. (PER PRESS ASSOCIATION,— COPYRIGHT). London, July 20. The Australians began a match with Derbyshire to-day. The Home team la— W. Chatteiton, H. Bagshaw, O. Davidson, J. Holme, W. SnRR, 6. Porter, W. Storer, S. H. Evershed, L. G. Wright, G, A. Mainden,' and Pardy. Tramble, Kelly, and Joneß stand out of the colonial team. The weather was splendid, the wloketi In first-class order, and the attendance Rood. The Australians, winning the toss, daelded to bat, aDd at 2 p.m. had lost one wloket for 131 runs. Glffen, 63. (Roselved July 12, 7.30 p.m.) When stumps were drawn at the close of the day the Australians had scored 370 for the loss of four wlokets. The highest scorers were :— lredale 73, Trott not out 131, DoDnan cot out 85. The New Zealand Crioket Council haß accepted Mr Mnsgrove's terms for five matches, the lost of whloh will probably fialah on December 3rd.
