The steamer Warrlmoo went aahore at Commanche Point In a dense fog. The weather was calm at the time and the vessel floated off without sustaining Injury, and la being towed here. All the passengers landed safely. She went aahore on the same spot aa where the Duchess of Argyla was lost.
If) is reported here thnt Mr J. W. Maokay, director of the CanadianFaoifio Railway Company, and a number of Ban Francieco capitalists will co-operate to lay tbe Pacific cable.
