A morning that drapers and clothiers hail with gladness, when topcoats and gloves nro In great demand, greeted ownere, trainers, nnd a lurgo crowd of Bightseers wbo journeyed to the trainingtrack this morning to aeo the horses pat through their facings for the approaching meeting. The grans gallop was thrown open and a lot of useful work was done. The first to strip bis horses was Alf. Elllnßham. who sent Aphony, The Plug, Prairie Grasp, Kip Van Winkle, and Mozel nil to good sound work. J. Mahsr treated Ua and Kiwi to a useful gallop. Triton nnd Blarney cantered round to the sixfurlong post and lumped ofl for a strODg gallop for the rest of the circuit. Gooseander and the hilf Bister 1 1 Riyfoldt weru given long slow work. Fred Onrrlngton &enti Hopeful and OtMrl two rounds accomplished fit a si esdy sice. E Gilpiu treated Elaine 11. and Tally ho to a stronjr, two rounds, tho Bracelet candidate appearing to have tho best of it. Harold liussell's Ve^ciulor pub in some useful work. A. Goodwin's T Roeo with sweaters on, accompanied by Hob Connop'n Unfortunate, swung over thrpe rounds at a Btrong useful p^ce. Mr Pltb's Welcome Nat did three limeß at half pi\ee. QuinHven'fl VUta and Brnoklet centered three times slow. lield'H Egmont, lookiDH well, did sound work. Con Boyle's charges, Tomboy and St, Anthony, with Georgo Hope's Couranto, left two circuits hohind tlicm at a strong pace, all moving In p;ood style. Mutiny was indulged In long plow work. Fred Luekie'a Boomerang, assisted by The Shearer, galloped twice round at a strong pace, both finishing well. Joe Scott'e Langley tbe Dovll wont three times at half and three- quarter pace. Tiiitea, Wlghtsbado, ond Itccralt were given slow long work. Valletta nnd Mystical, who is looking big ond wnll, bad useful work allotted them. Alexander rode Roscluh twice round over (ho schooling country ; ha jumped none too well. At tlio gorr.e, jump Krvjcins' bridlo enme off, rcnnlting in hor"; i i rider gnl')!,' to crnnn. Neilbci tteed nor liorsernnn was hatt, and afterwards wont) twice louud together. Double (Uilpin) went oncu round, jumping in good et^rle.
