Detective Heibart deposed that when Cbarlei Dean was shown the bodies of the two Infants juat nftnr (hey were dux up, he HP-id, "My Gad, I tnppose I'll be brought into thin. I know nothing about it." Witness found In Minnie Dean's bedroom, under a mirror, a bottle containing about ba'f a teaepooofnl of liquid labelled chlorodyue, and another NelU'a Cholera. Thete had been handed to Professor Black. Tbe head of the infant when dag np was bent foiward on the breast, tbe feet lying forward and the back cutved. Tbe body straightened oat coon after being dug up. No one tiied to fit it into the box, which in his opinion would hold both bodies. Mr Macdonald, Crown Proseentor, stated that Professor Black, a most material wltncs, was now eugaged on a grave matter in Dunedin, and an adjournment was granted till Tuesday afternoon, by which time it is expected the inquest on the other child, Eva Hornsby, will be completed.
