FUNERAL OF BISHOP SUTER.
Nelson, Monday. The funeral of Bishop Sater took place this afternoon, the body lying In state in the Cathedial all the morning, when the communion service was held. The building was draped in black, but largely relieved bv white (lowers edfrcd with cypress. Every business pln/;e was closed in the afternoon, and the Cathedral was filled to the doors. Bishop Mules and Archdeacon Grnco conducted a portion of the servico. The procession was then headed by the Rev. D. Galway and the choristers and clergy, who preceded the coffin. The pall bearers were the Rev.>. A. Wright, Cacbemnllle, Jennings, Edgewick, Llvesiy, Johnston, and Hulbtb, Then came tho chief niouriierp, including Mrs Suter, Mrs Alule?, Colonel Branfill, themembers of the late tmtiop'sbousehold, the bays of the blenop's sc&ool carrying wreiths, the diocesan officers, members of the Legislature, and public men, including membern of the Corporation and citizens, who walked to the outskirts of the city, over fifty vehicles following. The last offices at the crave were performed by the Revs, Kempthorne aod Jennings, the bishop prouounclng the benediction. The whole town was in morning. The clergy of nearly every denominaiion, including the Roman Catholic, joined the procession.
