The weather to day was fine in the morning for the opening of the Dunedln Jockey Club's (spring meeiiug. Tbe attendance was fair, The course was in good order. Speculation was not very brislc, being no doubt affected by the Mayoral election going or The amount pjt through was £4318, The following are the results;—

Prime Warden shook off Response, and was challenged by Skirmisher, but lib held bis own and won by one and a half lengths, Llbtrntor close up, Melinite fourth, Response fifth.
