On tbe 25th of March, when between Cape Egmont and Cape Farewell, at 5 p.m., a sea resembling a tidal wave came roaring towards the ship and struck her amidships, smashing tbe gig and the bow ot the life boat, and doing other damage, and carrying the debris overboard.
