POST-OFFICE HOLIDAYS.
The 25th ingc. (Christinaa Day) and Ist January will bo obiorvod as close holidays at all poatoffloes. On Boxing Day postolHoes will only open between 9 and 10 a.m., and only one delivery will be made by lottercarriers, commencing at 8 a.m. Mrllb usually despatched on the days on whloh Christmas and New Year's Day fall will be oloaed the preceding night at ß p.m. a' d on Boxing Day no mall will ba o oaed alter 10 a.m. The letter rocelvera will be cleared at 7 p.m. on the nights of the 2ith and Slab Inat. A delivery of letters will be made orer the counter at Ohlef Poet-offloe on the nights of the 24th and 31st Instant, af tor country maila aro sorted, commencing shortly after 8 p.m. Post-offices which are also telegraph offices, and which open to the publio on Sundays and nolldtyg, will open on Christmas Day, Hosing Day, and New Year's Day from 9 to 10 a.m. and 7to 8 p.m., and on Boring Day all telegraph offices will open from 9 to 10 a.tn. j. a jaqo, Chief Postmaster.
