Sydney, Friday. Mr K. H, Levien, M.L. A . for Tamworth, a solicitor, has been suspended for twelve . - months for a breach of the Attorneys Act in allowing his managing clerk to receive' a percentage on bis profits. He has consequently resigned his seat for Tamworth 'in the Legislative Assembly. • - The second day's racing of the Sydney Turf Club, which was postponed frem i Saturday owing to the rain, took place to-

day. The principal event was the (J'kciiV Birthday Cup, one mile and three furlongs, which was won by Centaur, Bst 2lb; Clogs, 6st 121 b, second ; and Stamford, 6st 81b, third. Nearly all the buildings in St. Albans, 60 miles north-west of Sydney, in the Hawkesbury Valley, were washed away during the recent floods, and one life was lost. .
