. The Union Company's s.s. Manapouri, Captain 1 homns Logan, arrived in the bay from Sydr oy via Auckland and Gisborno at 7 o'clock on Saturday morning, Sho reports having left Sydney on tho H3rd ult at 4.30 p.m., Auckland at 12.30 p.m. on the 30th, and Gisborne at 8.45 on the 31st. arriving as above. Tho launch Ahuriri tendored tho Mnnapouri immediately on arrival for passengers and mails, and took tho outward passengorsoffat2 p.m., shortly after which the Manapouri proceeded to Melbourne via Southorn ports. The s.s. Australia arrived from Northern ports at 9 a.m. on Saturday. She was immediately brought inside, when she discharged her cargo into the cargo shed, and afterwards took in about 200 casks of tallow for transhipment to the barque Peri at Wellington. The Australia left about 4 p.m. Sho reports having left Auckland at 7.15 on the 29th ult., and. Gipborno at 4 p.m. on the 31st. Sho caJoi at Tolago Bay and Awanui on the way ttown. Experienced fresh S.E. winds and wick weather all along the coast. Mr Johnson, chief ofßcor of tho Australia, brought her down from Auckland this trip, owing to Captain Kemp beiug detained to attend tho enquiry into the late collision. The 8.8. Wairarapa, Captain W. H. ChatHold, anchored in tho bay at 3.30 p.m. on Saturday. Shereports having leit Melbourne Tit 4.30 p.m. on tho 22nd ult., and cleared the Heads at 7 p.m. Exporioncod Btrong head winds and head sea on the passugo ovor. Reached the Bluff at 10 a.m. on tho 27th, left again at 5 p.m. on tho 29th, called at Lyttolton on tho 30th, and Wellington on the 31st, and left again same day at 9 p.m., arriving bb abovo. Experienced fine weather all along tho coast The Ahuriri tendered the VVairarapa immediately on her arrival for passengers, but owing to tho late arrival of the big steatnor the last launch with outward passengers did not leave tho wharl till 5.30. The 8.8. Ahuriri will steam for Blackhoad and Waimarama to-night should the weather prove favorable. The 8.8 Fairy camooffthe Blip on Saturday morning. Tho Trusty will go ou tho Blip to-day. • Tho s.s. Omapero is expocted to leave limaru to-day, and is due here on Wednesday. The Kiwi will probably loave Wellington to-morrow night.
