News from Cooktown states that Mi Quoiig Tart announces that the Chinese authorities cannot understand the antiChinese bitterness that exists in the colonies, in the face of tho fact that Mr Tart was allowed to marry an Australian lady. Some boys were on the rocks at the Red Point, off Akaroa, the other day and came across a nest o old cannon balls. A small landslip had cawed these old stagers to roll down, and the sea had washed the clay away from them.
