HIGH TESTIMONY FROM HOME AS TO THK EXCELLENCY OF OUR ALES. The following communication hasj ust been reoeived by Messbs Spbioht & Co. (per favor of G. R. West, Esq.) as to tho Superior quality of their Ales :— Hobb, Moore & Co., Steamship Furnishers, Ship and Store Merchants, 72 and 71, Broomilaw, Glasgow, Nov. 9, 1888. G. R. West, Esq. 135, Euston-road, London. Dear Sir,— Being intimate with ono of tho Principal Supervisors of Excise hero, I Bent him a fow dozon of Messrs Speight Se. Co.'s Dunedin Beer, with the object of getting an opinion of the Excise Chemist in it, and I am find to say ho has pronounced it ono of the 'inest Beers be ever analysed, it having the high specific gravity of 10-80 deg., the greatest amount of spirit, and tho bost quality of acid he ever came aoross. When I toll you that every shipment of Beer going out of the Clyde must be sampled by the Exoise Officers, and thon analysed by their Chomists, I consider this opinion is better than anything else I could say on it. At preßent the Beor is too flat to send to anyone but an expert in tho trade, but as soon as it comes into condition I will have it distributed. Yours, vory truly, ignod) ROBB MOORE & CO. 029 Per H.
