VICTORIA.
(Received November 24, 2.15 p.m.) Melbourne, Saturday. The unofficial result of the big yacht race yesterday is given as Iduna, Era, •Volunteer, Janet, Wanderer, and Taniwha.^ Owing, however, to some bugling, the fade will have to be re-sailed on Monday. The Auckland yacht Akor&na won the second-class race. The heat to-day is 101 in the shade. Two deaths are reported from sunstroke at Horsham, (Reotired November 26, 2 a.m.) Sunday, The prospect of the Victorian harvest is gloomy except at tiippslaud and in the •western districts. Tlie barley crops are a partial failure and oats are a "total failure. "The whole of tlie northern district watercourses are drying up, and water has to be •earned many miles. The present prospect shows that the colony is unable to produce ■more than will supply her own wants.
