Alternatively .they are willing to agree to reduce 'the rates if a ' stated yearly'revenue is guaranteed, or if they were handed the land line charges collected by the colonies. Mr Rowan, who represents the Pacific Cabla Company, will lay his proposals betore the Conference to-morrow, and then Sir William Fitzberbert will, on behalf of the New Zealand Government, lay down theirproposals. Resolutionswerepassedtod ay favoring intercolonial postal notes, and the parcel post system was recommended, the price to be Cd per lb, with a minimum of lOd, It was suggested that each | colony should adopt the system when feasible.
