LANGLEY AND NEWMAN, TENNYSON-STREET, Have Received a Shipment ov [BORODINI'S CELEBRATED OVERSTRUNG TRIOORD PIANOS, WHICH THEY ARE OFFERING AT VERY LOW PRICES. VERY SUPERIOR INSTRUMENTS. LANGLEY AND NEWMAN HAVE REMOVED TO THEIR NEW PItEMISES IN TENNYSON-STREET. 143 REID A N_D G R A Y. i THE NEW ZEALAN&BR TWINE BINDER. In asking our friends to buy trom Aew Zealand matters, we would point out a few of the benefits which would accrue through so doing. Duplicates would be easier got and generally cheaper; and from the facilities at our disposal— viz., onr branches in different parts of New Zealand— we can supply any parts of machines from any of these branches at an hour's notice ; other makers may, and do claim to be ablo tb do this, but farmers find to their cost and our experience bears them out, that jt cannot be, done with imported machines. We haye 1 known of cases where farmers with a broken down imported Binder have had to wait a week during the busiest part of harvest time before they got supplied. Had such been a machine of our make, it would have been at \fork within aiewhours. AH parts of machines are numbered and accurately duplicated, and we challenge comparison with the best imported in tbat respect ; and while asking farmers to purchase our Binder, we may state that it is now generally recognised tbat our machine is at least as good as tho best imported, and much superior to many of them in every requisite of a serviceable Binder. We append a few of the many Testimonials received for our Binder ; but the best Testimonial is the fact that last year no less than 43 wero Bold in one distriot alone. Te Rore WEtfr, Waipa, August 11, 1887. • The Reaper and Binder I bought from you last harvest made very good work on all sorts of ground. I cut some very steep sidlings, the Binder sliding a foot at once, and at the same time cutting and binding a very neat sheaf. , ISAAC HODGSON. Centre Bush, March 27, 1886. The Reaper and Binder I purchased from you this season has given me entire satisfaction. I cut and tied 140 acres in 11 days, ana made a really good job. She tied well and left a good stubble, although some of the crop was very light, and other parts of it were good. I conBider your Binder quite equal to any of the imported machines, and much lighter op DRAUOHT THAN SOME THAT' WERE WORKING IN THE SAME PADDOCK WITH MB. I Several tunes worked the same team of three horses the whole day, although I had a spare team beside me. I had no stoppage from time of starting till/I finished, and lam thoroughly satisfied that I have a really good andserviceable machine/; and one that will last me agood many seasons. , ALEXANDER SHANK Wairuna,, Clinton, October 17, 1887. The Twine Binder I bought from you last harvest is "& I could desjre. . I cut 250 acres of crops with her, and not the least thing went wrong ; she is easily puLlkd, and for going on sid&nga I have seen nothing to equal nor. She is just as ready to start work now as when I got her. You can make use of this in any way please. „ JOHN MOFFATT. : Otama, ,Gorb, October 8. 1887. Wo are pleased to state the Binder we purchased from you' last season gave evory satis, faction. On sidings we consider Bhe is. preferable to any other make in the market, as far as our experience goes, we having .worked some of the principal, makers machines. 'We cut over 300 acres and had no breakages, and (never had) any stoppages through anything going 889 ODg< WALKER BROTHERS. DRINK - tTk 4 y/Vif B #\ * / INDUSTRIAL CHZET7E.
