CRICKET.

A match between a team picked from tbe employes of Messrs Kinross and Co. and Robjohns and Co., and one selected from the employe's of the rest* of the Spit firms, was played yesterday on Farndon Park. It resulted in a win for the "miscellaneous" by eight wickets. Mr George White captained the combined eleven and Mr Pram the miscellaneous team. The former winning the toss elected to bat first. The innings resulted in a total of 50 (Birch 19, Hawkins 14). The miscellaneous now handled the willow, and put together the fair total of 95, out of which Mr J. Martin got 39 (not out) and Mr J. Smith 11. The combined team were only able to put together 50 in their second innings. This only left the miscellaneous team 15 to get to win the match. These were obtained for the loss of 3 wickets. The match however was continued, and when the stumps were drawn 9 wickets had fallen for 45 runs (Green 13, Ellison 10). For tlie combined team White captured 10 wickets, Robjohns 3, Hawkins 2, and Warden 2, whilst Newton took 8, Pram 7, Cato4, and Green 2 for the other side.
