ST. JOSEPH'S MONASTRY.

The annual distribution of prizes at St. Joseph's Ladies' School took place yesterday. The walls of one of. the schoolrooms were hung with a large number of .specimens of fancy needlework, paintings in oil and water-colors,' &c, the majority of which wore of a high order, and reflected great credit upon the Sisters and their pupils. Prior to the distribution of prizes a very enjoyable concert was given in the large schoolroom. The entertainment was moat successful, the various items on the programme being well executed, and the large audience manifested their • approval in tlie most enthusiastic manner. Captain Preece distributed the prizes, and at the close made an interesting address to the pupils. Fathers Grogan and Kickham also spoke. Mr G. E.
