An earthquake causing great destruction ,of property and loss of life has oe-. curled at Philiatra, a town on the south' of the west ooast of Greece, in the province 'of S^orea. .Fully-300' persons are knawn to have perished. There have'been 116 bodies recovered. Many persons have been rescued from' the ruins of the town who have sustained serious, injuries.
