The Union Steamship Company's 8.8. Rotomahana. Captain M. Carey, arrived in our roadstead at noon on Saturday aJternoon, and was tendered on arrival for passengers by the launch Boojum, and by the lighter Admiral for cargo. The outward passengers were taken off at 7 o'clock the same evening, the Rotomahana steaming northwards shortly afterwards. The following is the report ol her passage, kindly furnished by her purser :-Left Port Chalmers at 4.30 p.m. on Wednesday, the 14th inst.; arrived at Lyttelton on the 15th, and left at 8 p.m. the same evening, arriving in Wellington early on Friday morning ; left Wellington at ( I p.m. the same night, passed tho Kidnappers at 10 40 a.m. on the 17th, and brought up at the anchorage as above. Experienced fine weather up the coast. The Union Steamship Company"s 8.8. Wairarapa, Captain H. W. H. Chutfield, anchored in the roadstead at daylight on Saturday morning. She was tendered as usual by tho Boojum for mans and passengers, and by tho lighters for cargo, the outward passengers leaving the breastwork in the launch at 2 o'clock the same afternoon, the steamer leaving for the South shortly afterwords. The following report of h<T passage was kindly furnished by her purser, Mr H. Taylor : -Left the company's wharf at Sydney at 1 30 p in. on the 9th, and cleared the Sydney Heads at 2 p.m. ; experienced fresh easterly winds on the passage across, and passed the Three Kings at 8 30 a.m. on the 13tb, ohe North Cape at 1 p.m., and Cape Brett at 7.39 p.m. on the same day, arriving in Auckland on the 14th ; sailed again at '2 p.m. on tho 15th, and reached Uisborno at 2.30 p.m. on the 16th, sailing again at 8 p m. the same day, arriving 8 The Union Steamship Company's s.s. Southern Cross, Captain Hutchison, was taken out from the breastwork by the pilot at 3 o'clock on Saturday aJternoon, steaming for the North shortly afterLevin andCo.'ss.s. Kiwi, Captain James Campbell, arrived in the roadstead at daylight en Saturday morning, and was brought inside and moored to tho breastwork. She brought a quantity of transhipments here from Wellington. She left for Wellington and tho Coast at 3 o'clock yesterday afternoon. She reports having left Wellington at 8.30 p.m. on Thursday, landed cargo noxt day at Castlepoint, and left again at 11.30 a.m., arriving here as above. , _ .. The brigantine Enterprise, Captaia Arch. Veil, arrived in the roadstead from Dunedin on Saturday evening at 9 o'clock. She was brought inside early •n Sunday morning, and moored to the breastwork. She brings a full cargo of floor and oats for this place. Mr Prank Pell is her agent here. She reports leaving Dnnedin on Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock, and was abreast of Castlepoint at 11 a.m. on Thursday, arriving here as above. _ The a s Wairoa, Captain H. Anderson, arrived hero at 11 o'clock yesterday morning. She left Wairoa at 6.30 the same morning, after being blocked in that place for four days, owing to a heavy sea running and the shallowness of the bar. The fore-and-aft schooner Columbia, Captain Conway, arrived in the bay at 3 o'clock on Saturday afternoon, and wasbrouyht inside the same evening 1 . She brings a quantity of timber for Mr R. Holt and Messrs C. Dolbel and Co. . The Colonial Government's a.s. Hinemoa, Captain Fairchild, brought up in the roadstead at 11 o'clock yef-terday morning, and after staying an hour steamed southwards. . The three-masted schooner Mary Wadley, Cuptam Moore, arrived in the bay at 7 o'clock yesterday eveniug from Newcastle, N.S.W.
