DEPARTURES.

October 3— Sir Donald, s.s., for Tongoio. I October 3 — Thomas Russell, s.s., for Gisborne and I Auokland. I

The s.s. Thomas Russell, Captain C. Helander, arrived in the roadsteadf rom Gisborne and Auckland on Thursday night, and was brought inside and moored to the breastwork yesterday morning, whero sho discharged her cargo. She left for Poverty Bay and Auc'tlaud at 12.30 p.m. yesterday. Messrs Shaw, Savill and tho Albion Company's ship Euterpe, Captain FToile, anchored in the bay at 2 o'cloclr yostorday aftarnoon trom London via Dunedin. She waa sboarcdd by tha pilot. The Euterpe will bo tbe first of hey company ta load up here with wool and tallow. Messrs Kinross and Co. are the local agents. The Union Steamship Company's s.s. Tarawera will arrive here from Auckland via Poverty Bay this morning. The Boojum wilt tender her at 6 n.m. for inward passengers and malls, and by the lighters for cargo. The outward passengers will leave the breastwork at 2 o'clock this afternoon, tho Tarawera steaming on her courso for Wellington, Southern ports and Melbourne shortly afterward*. The s.s. "Wairoa, Captain H. Andersen, will leave for Wairoa at 10 a.m. to-day. The Union Steamship Company's s.s. Southern Cross, Captain Hutchison, will arrive hero this morning from Auckland vii Poverty Bay. f-he is advertised to steam for Wellington at 1 o'clock this afternoon. The H.s. Bella, Captain Green, leaves for Mohaka at 12 o'olook to-night. The Union Steamship Compauy's s.s. Wairarapa left Wellington last night for this port, and ia expected in the roadstead about noon to-day. She will be tendered in the nsnal way for passengers. mails, and cargo, and at 5 o'clock this afternoon will leave for Sydney via Poverty Bay and Auckland. The s.s. Sir Donald, Captain Johu Quinlan, left and returned from Tongoio yesterday morning.
