The usual monthly meeting of the Blue Ribbon Army will be held this evening iv 81. John's school-room. Mr Kobort Holmes, returning officer for -\ the Havelock district, notifies that Messrs W. A. Couper-and T. Gilpin have been elected to fill the Tacant seats on the Havelock Koad Board, and that a meeting of the Board will be held this afternoon to elect a chairman. Tenders are invited by the Meanee Koad Board for sundry worka. Messrs Newton and Co. change their advertisement over the leader. Mr Arthur M'Cartney, of the Caledonian Hotel, informs his customers that he has decided to dispense with gas and to fall back on the " old slush lamp." Mr N. B.
