SYNOPSIS OF NEW ADVEETISEMENTS. Mr Edward Lyndon will sell at his rooms next Thursday morning a consignment of furniture. Messrs C. B. Hoadley and Co.'s monthly land sale at the Hawke's Bay Wool Stores will be held on the 28th instant, instead of the 26th as previously advertised. The Pritchard family will give an entertainment at the Oddfellows' Hall, Taradale, next Thursday evening. Messrs Ruddock and Fryer have just opened a large assortment of sheep and cattle earmarks, specially ordered for the district. The usual monthly meeting of the Blue Ribbon Army will be held this evening iv 81. John's school-room. Mr Kobort Holmes, returning officer for -\ the Havelock district, notifies that Messrs W. A. Couper-and T. Gilpin have been elected to fill the Tacant seats on the Havelock Koad Board, and that a meeting of the Board will be held this afternoon to elect a chairman. Tenders are invited by the Meanee Koad Board for sundry worka. Messrs Newton and Co. change their advertisement over the leader. Mr Arthur M'Cartney, of the Caledonian Hotel, informs his customers that he has decided to dispense with gas and to fall back on the " old slush lamp." Mr N. B. Beamish notifies that persons trespassing on the Okawa or Whaua estates will be prosecuted. Mr J. H. Coleman has £10,000 to land on freehold security. Claims against Mr John Nairn must be sent in to Mr Q-. ."K. Q-. h ichardson by the 14th instant. Messrs Large and Townley have lost two water-color paintings, supposed to have been sent out in some article of furniture, and ro« quest the finder to return them. Tendera are invited by the Public Works Office, Wellington, for the Danevirke contract (permanent way) on the WellingtonJNapier railway. Particulars are inserted reflecting the New Zealand Shipping Company's British King, which will be despatched for London from Lyttelton about the middle of the present month. Mr D. Balharry is the local agent. Messrs Blytho and Co. advertise winter gloves. Several new advertisements of vacant situations ore inserted in the " wanted " column on the front page.
