London, April 25. The Princess Helena, of WaldeckPyrmont, the bride elect of Prince Leopold, has arrived at Windsor Castle. The "wedding ceremony takes place on Wednesday, the 27th instant. There is but little enquiry for wool. The 'arrivals to date for the next auctions commencing on the 6th May amount to 30,000 bales. April 26. The funeral of the late Dr Darwin took place to-day at Westminster Abbey in the presence of a large concourse of people, including many notable persons from all parts of the kingdom. In the House of Commons this afternoon Mr J. E. Redmond, Home Rule member for New Ross, moved for leave to introduce a bill for amending the Irish Land Act. The motion was opposed by Mr Gladstone, who promised that the Government would, during the present session, introduce a bill for dealing with the non-payment of arrears of rent in Ireland. Mr Redmond agreed, after some further remarks, to accept the Premier's assurance in a friendly spirit, and the debate was then adjourned.
